After 35 years of service, South County Outreach is bidding a heartfelt farewell to a cherished team member and community champion, Bunni Ickes, who concluded her extraordinary journey with the organization at the end of 2024.
Bunni’s incredible journey with South County Outreach began as a volunteer and later as a Board Member. In 2004, she transitioned to a staff role, serving as Manager of the Upscale Resale Thrift Store, which she helped launch and grow into a vital resource for our mission. Over the past two decades, she has been a dedicated leader, most recently in her role as Community Outreach Manager, where her efforts have strengthened our programs and deepened our impact across Orange County.
Her unwavering commitment to our mission and her genuine care for the community have made her an integral part of South County Outreach’s story. Though she is retiring, we are thrilled that Bunni will remain part of the SCO family as a volunteer ambassador, continuing her passion for helping others.
